Artist Research

I have done some research into installation artists and the work by David Cunningham has interested me. An installation that he has created called 'Listening and the Listening room' has particularly inspired me as his installation in some way asks the people who enter it to listen carefully to the space that they are within. The space contains a microphone connected to a noise gate, amplifier and speakers in a highly reverberant room.

This is just a starting point to my contextual studies I will contain to do some more research as this will also help the development of my work.

David Cunningham appears to focus on the sound within his installation-this links well to my idea of finally creating an installation which includes the sound that I have captured while in Llandudno. This then highlights one of the bodies sense of hearing as an initial aim within my learning agreement was to focus/highlight some or all of the bodies sense.
