Talk by Jane Brake

(08/12/08) This morning we had a talk by one of our Interactive Arts tutors, she explained what past artwork that she has created and what she is currently doing. She has had numerous work in exhibitions, created documentary images- B + W photographs, montage/collages-magazine pages-public art journal and much more.
She also has a fascinating archive of old photographs and travel books which she has collected-some are actually from countries whcih she has visited. The idea of travelling-recording places links to my project which is based on a place which I have travelled to many times-perhaps I could create small travel books on Llandudno! Also the idea of creating my own B+W photographs of Llandudno seems interesting and is now possible after having the B+W photography induction.
From Jane's talk I could see how there are so many opportunities and different pathways you can follow within art-including your initial ideas, media/materials that are available and the techniques/methods of practice.
